Bozankaya Wins the Supply and Commissioning of 100 Metro Vehicles for Kadıköy-Kaynarca-Sabiha Gökçen and Pendik-Sabiha Gökçen Rail Public Transportation System – Dr. İlhami Pektaş

100 New Metro Vehicles for Istanbul with “Domestic” Bozankaya Brand

Within the scope of the contract, 100 driverless 88.5-meter-long metro vehicles consisting of a series of 25 Sets and 4 Vehicles per set with GoA2 feature, with a minimum capacity of 1032 passengers and a maximum service speed of 80 km/h will be delivered in 32 months.

This contract has the highest contract value and number of vehicles to be manufactured by a Turkish company in Türkiye, MENA Region and Balkans.

Bozankaya manufactured and exported Türkiye’s first national rail system urban tram, the first battery system and electric bus/battery trambus, the first battery-powered tram with a world range record with the European innovation award, and exported Türkiye’s first rail system metro to Bangkok, Thailand. The company is delivering 28 Metro Vehicles in total, with 7 sets of 4 driverless vehicles designed by Turkish engineers for the Gebze-Darıca Rail System Line with GoA4 signaling, the construction of which is undertaken by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Currently, the vehicles produced by Bozankaya transport approximately 1.7 million passengers per day in the world and serve on 3 continents from the USA and Canada to Asia. It will be a source of pride for ARUS and Bozankaya to produce the domestic and national metro designed by Turkish engineers the world standards with high technology for Istanbul, the pearl of the world. After the high-tech Gebze-Darıca metros, the citizens in Istanbul will use the national Bozankaya metro vehicles designed and produced entirely by Turkish engineers in Ankara in the coming years.

We would like to thank Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for choosing the rail system vehicles where the highest technology is designed and produced by Bozankaya. I hope that the contract for the metros to be designed and produced entirely by Turkish engineers will set an example for all other municipalities.
